Our ‘Break the bag habit’ campaign, aimed at promoting World Environment Day and educating retailers and shoppers about the amount of plastic we consume, saw 88% of Churchill Square retailers remove plastic bags in store for the day and replace them with 25,000 ethically produced and sustainable tote bags – a UK shopping centre first.
Four days of community beach cleans saw 75kg of plastic litter collected which was then transformed into a bespoke art installation in the form of a fish with supporting information about how customers could reduce their plastic consumption.
Our campaign received 88% retailer engagement overall, led to Goldsmiths removing all plastic repair wallets from their Brighton store and Lakeland reviewing the number of plastic bags they ordered as well as a PR reach of 1,248,735.
