Golden Square is a leading shopping centre in Warrington, Lancashire.
When the client wanted to reach a new, secondary audience online, and re-position the centre as the region’s key fashion player, they turned to Bewonder* to start the conversation.
Bewonder* launched the centre’s first blog OhMyGosh at the end of September 2016.
This provides a continually evolving platform that showcases fashion and lifestyle content from retail insiders, bloggers and independent style experts.
To highlight the centre’s fashion credentials and appeal to our target audience, we also feature content and video supplied directly by brands, together with the following features:
- OhMyGosh what has she got on – a monthly look at a tricky trend
- Hiya! A monthly blog with a guest writer, such as Fashion Mum at 40, etc
- Mall Talk – blogs from different retailers/brands
- Reactive/topical blogs. e.g. The Oscars
The bi-weekly blog currently receives 300 unique visits per month and 500 sessions, with the average time onsite being 2 minutes 11 seconds. To drive readers to the latest update, we mail out regular emails – with a strong average open rate of 20% and click through of 16%. Bewonder* has additionally developed emails that incentivise people to sign up.
In keeping with our audience’s love of instagram, we have also developed a stand-alone Instagram platform that supports the blog and showcases content.
To date, over 50 blogs have been shared.
