Walama Conference Branding

The Challenge

Walama is the name we have chosen for the conference suites in the One International Tower building in the Barangaroo area of Sydney. After extensive research, we decided on a name that not only adds meaning to the conference suites but also pays homage and respect to the local indigenous culture and traditions. Walama is a traditional Sydney word meaning 'return' or 'come back'.

Our Solution

The brand marque has four radiating shapes and colours representing the four rooms within the conference centre and reflecting the coming together and diversity of the peoples and projects. The identity has an accompanying graphic palette to be applied across signage and marketing material.
